The weather sucked for both ducks and geese. By the time we actually got winter weather, the season was almost closed. I think we got to go out twice, but that was about it.

I 'm going to give you guys some advice you can take it or not ! A few years ago i met a big duck and goose hunter from the MD ,PA area of the country a real nice guy with his family etc. ! Duck and Goose hunting was his thing and he was good at it always got his limit ! He came down with cancer and died in treatment within a few months of our meeting ! In a few months after his death i read a short article in Sports Afield or Outdoor life about how the ducks and geese in this country have high levels of cancer causing chemicals in their bodies ! I believe he got the cancer from eating the ducks and geese he killed ! JAGG

Just about anything associated with water will have some pollution issues. Fish in the Columbia have Dixons and Mercury. A lot of inland lakes have heavy metal issues. In relaity, people are probably in more danger driving their trucks or operating their boats to go hunting than they are from cancer causing yuk that lerks in the water and thus in the animals. If we knew what we are from commerical processors we would stop eating. I have personally seen rotting deer and beaver get ground up and added to frozen vegatables and a friend of mine lost his right foot in a combine and it was never recovered from the food. For my part, the ducks are still in trouble.
