Thinking about a 9417, but would like to know how they shoot in 17 HMR. Anyone shot one? I'd like to know how accurate they are.

Well, you probably saw what I posted in the thread about 2005 being the last year. On the phone, the USRA representative said they are in the process of writing the 2006 catalog, and the 9422 is in it. He said they are making changes to the .22LR, and that the .22 Mag and .17 HMR will be the same.

That maybe true but I have seen the 2005 catolog and there is no model 94 other than the 30-30.
I want to wait until after the shot show this year to be sure because if they did discontiue the 17 hmr it was only made for two years. which means the value of the gun will skyrocket wiht in 5 years.

Well, looks like they are discontinuing the 9417 Traditional, but will still offer the 9417 Legacy for 2005. Think I might get one. My brother just got his 9417 Traditional yesterday, and I sure like the looks of it. It seems a very solid little carbine.
