Just got off the phone whith my youngest (was in N.C. going through the test to see if he could get into Special Forces) he had called Sunday after an 18 mile (run) with 60 lb pack. Had finished the physical portion and now had to do the psychological testing. Just found out he is accepted so looks like he will be in training come Apr/May when the next class starts. I got to admit he has made me proud yet again.

Quick update, Shaun is out of Germany and in Georgia doing jump school at Ft. Benning, called last week and said he was a little sore from all the jump land and roll drills but they were starting the 250' drops the next day. He goes to Special Forces next and will be in North Carolina in May. He is also getting married to a wonderful young lady from our home town before he starts the training. Her sister is married to a Marine at Camp Lajune so will have company in North Carolina.

I have been watching your posts Chief RID isn't it nice with all the bad stuff kids can and do get into to have one that takes the high road and wants to serve. Congradulations and please let your son know how proud we are of him and his dad. CD that goes for you to.

My nephew is in the 3rd infantry div. currently in Baghdad. He just found out he's gonna be a daddy! Please keep him and all our kids/soldiers in your prayers. Thanks so much!
