He is just about done. We have received letters every week until this one. It must be getting pretty intense. He has done well and the talk of his bad leg has stopped. They must have cut it off so he would quit thinking about it. Thanks for your continued thoughts and prayers.

We didn't have the Crucible back in my day (we had other names for it!) but it did come down to the final excercise which pretty much put you to the test. I ran through that with an ingrown toenail because I didn't want to get set back. I'm sure he's just learned how to deal with that leg.
Best of luck to your son! It's nice when you can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Joe said the crucible was tiring but not as hard as expected. He has testing the rest of the way out until end of next week when he comes home before moving on. It looks like he is a marine. As always, keep him in your prayers.

Joe is home and pretty healthy. After his leave and recruiting time and 7 weeks of training it looks like his group will still be in Iraq. I will keep ya posted. Thanks for your support.

Joe is in training at LeJeune and he is loving it. He says he has thrown a bunch of grenades and shot the M24 Rocket launcher. Also has been aquainted with the SAW.
He has ridden in the 2 bladed Helo and will get dropped out next week in the dark for a find your own way excercise.

The more of that kind of training the better. Great that he is enjoying it as it makes life a little easier when/if he ever gets into it. Congradulations on a great young man there. You are right to be proud.
