Has anyone used the Konus brand of spotting scopes, the model I am interested in is the 20 to 60 x 80mm.

Well, I've just ordered one. So when it gets here I'll write up what it's like.

Got it today and it looks good. It seems clearer than a Cabelas 66mm I already had. Definitive test will have to wait until I go to the range. But so far I have a good feeling about it.

I haven't made it to the range yet, but I took it out tonight to look at the moon. WOW! I could see it better than I ever remember seeing it with any other spotting scope. It was sharp and clear, even at 60X. Shifting power requires re adjusting the focus, but that knob moves so easily and smoothly that it doesn't upset the view while doing it. I'm impressed. It is a nice dry, clear night, so I'm sure that helps. At the range I'll get humidity (mirage) coming up off the ground and that severely limits resolution down here in the tropics, but I'll wait and see how it does.

Have used it at the range a couple of times now. It is pretty good. At a benchrest match last week I could clearly see .223 holes in the black portion of the targets at 100 yards. With the heat and humidity here in Puerto Rico that is pretty good. Definitely better than iI could see them (or not!) with the 66mm Cabela's scope.
Today, also shooting at 100 yards, I could zoom it up to 60X to look at the details of the backstop and it was still clear, which wasn't the case with the previous scope. With the 66mm it started getting bigger but fuzzier once past 35-40X or so, so the 60X wasn't really usable. With the Konus it is.
And no, I don't sell this thing nor have any other connection other than having bought one.
