Nice - one button buck for me out of mid-GA, saw a 6 point later on in the season but like to take only 1 a year. Don't have the freezer space!

Bucket rack 6 pt. from the hunting club in Ala. BUT----- Saw a (at least) 10 pointer on the river(Escambia)early one morning when I was heading out in search of pork. I gotta get this guy cuz he was BIG. Biggest track since I've been back in Fla.----Can still hog hunt w/ centerfire pistol til Mar. 6th on the river so might get another look at him.----Called in a yote last night and shot him w/my new Bushmaster Carbon 15 Type 21. Used M855,62gr penetrators and he still died real quick.(but they zip right through)I use them in case a hog might step out and go---HUH ! WHAT ?----- GOOD SHOOTIN'---- pruhdlr

I'm jealous, I got skunked. Saw one spike buck, gazillions of does, and on New Years Day sitting drinking a beer watching a bowl game a 10 point buck chased 4 or 5 does through the back yard. That was the second sighting for that bad boy. He was long gone by the time I got Mr. 45-70 and I didn't see him after that.

Good for all of you who scored.

The pine forest is getting better. We had better movement than the last two years and many more sightings. I took a botton buck off a corn pile one evening late in the season and a nice pig the next weekend.

I had a fun, but frustrating season. Killed one nice size doe the friday after thanksgiving. Saw a nice big racked buck twice durring the season, each time he was running off, only once did I get a shot at him and I missed. I hunted a good bit, had a great time, but just didn't see any deer at all. Here is the troubleing thing, all season long we were finding signs all over our small property (140acers) only two does and two spiked killed all season with two people hunting pretty regular. There was such an abundance of scrapes, rubs and fresh droppings all season long, we just couldn't catch em at the right time I guess. All in All I'm just thankful that I got to kill one and I have meat in my freezer.

Just think what you have to look forward to next year.

We had 4 does laying down after breakfast amongst the palm trees not 10 yards from the deck this morning. I'm sure Mr. Ten-Point (whom we spotted twice) introduced himself to a few of them during the rut.

Didn't want to shoot any does this year, just hunted for Buckzilla but he was too smart for me.
