I make those bullets and load them in a 45 Colt Win. 94. Winchester or Starline brass with a heavy dose of Win 296. Shoot great out of my rifle, would highly recommend it.

Ted,
I'm curious what your bullets weigh from the mold. What's your alloy/velocity? Most folks say theirs run a little heavy. Also, have you checked the diameter? I picked up a couple of the 315gr version from Lee's surplus page (limited production?), but have yet to cast from it. I'm hoping for around 330gr from my alloy to use in my 454 Puma 92.

I recently bought this mould and have cast about 500 bullets so far for my 454's. I use 75% wheelweights and 25% linotype. They weigh 320 grains as cast, and measure .453. I haven't shot any yet, but they are very similar to the Lyman 452651 that I have used for years. That bullet shoots 1 1/2" groups with open sights at 25 yards, so I'm optimistic that the Lee design will perform well.

I am casting mine with wheelweights and just a bit of tin added, about 2%. With lube and gas check they weigh 315 grains. I load them with 24 grains of Winchester 296. That gives me 1640 fps out of my rifle with 20 inch barrel and zero barrel leading. Accuracy runs around 2 inches at 75 yards with XS Ghost ring sight setup.
