I am shooting the barnes triple shocks in 300win mag 180grain & 225grain in 338win mag both riles are shooting .5MOA or under & no fouling I was wondering if any one else had tried them and if you are having simular results to mine
Always cussed Barnes bullets in the past because I couldn't get any consistency out of them and they fouled the bores terribly.
Have tried the XXX bullets in my 6.5's and have been very pleasently surprised. Great accuracy and no more fouling than regular jacketed bullets.
Need to seat them a little further from the rifling as compared to normal bullets or they will develop pressure quickly. Other than that and being so long as to crowd the case capacity, they work well.

I haven't used the Triple-shock, but the plain 210gr. X shoots just dandy in my .338 win Mag. The 130gr. X shot fine in my .30-06, although printed about 4 inches higher than anything else at 100 yards.
The little 52/53gr. bullets work great in my .22-250.
Think I have a box of 100gr. / .25 cal, but haven't use them yet. Pretty good bullets if your rifle likes them, so far, I've had good luck.

Have used X's for years because of their exceptional terminal performance. Just went TSX starting with my 7/08. Wow! Same terminal performance but better accuracy and less fussing with getting the copper out. Still have to load TSX's differently: start load work-up .040-.050 off lands. And they take different powder charges that most conventional bullets. The data for TSX is sketchy for now. To work up I used the Barnes manual and a chron.Used thee same starting load as for the same weight X. Maxed out approximately midway between the top for X and the top for CLX. In the 7/08 that's about a grain more than the comperable max load for X but a grain less than CLX max.
