A friend is using .30 gas checks on a 32-20. I noticed some of them would slip on however the majority would not. Is this the corret gas check or should he use the .32 ????

Is the one I use for the 32-20. Need to make sure all the flashing (that little hang-nail type edge) on the base of the bullet is gone before trying to slip them one (then size in place) but the .30cal. gas checks are the ones' Iv'e been using.
My gas check mold is a pretty old Lyman...the new ones may be cut differently...but they go on slick and easy on this old mold. DO have to cehck each bullet for any flashing at the base..an little bit of a "lip" from the casting. Usualy can just flick that little lead hang-nil off with a thumb nail.

30s are correct they should take a little bit of effort to put on
