Has anyone ever put there hands on a pair of these binoculars? let me tell you i've used nikon atb and leupold and they were great! i started looking through my binos more and more for differen't things so i moved up to Zeiss conquest 8x30 and i was amazed at the image quality, and i thought you just cant get any better than these. Well i was wrong again.I wanted to keep these zeiss for scouting in the off season. But i wanted something with a little larger objective lenses and lower magnifacation for thick cover, dark woods hunting. So i looked at these optics Zeiss, Lecia,Swarovski and Kahles. I spent two hours in this store looking and feeling and looking some more ! I went into a back room with NO LIGHT AT ALL and what i found is the Zeiss was at the bottom of the list (8x42 victory) than i looked at the others the kahles and leica were very, very close but the leica was better. But when i looked at the swarovski and leica ONLY it got tuff, they are both totally Brilliant But when it came down too it i choose the swarovski's. There was not the smallest amount of optical flaw ANYWHERE! The image is second too none. The feeling of quality in your hand is great,so this is all i did, steve told me give me $1155.55 and you can take them home. so i did, so when i got home and told my wife she went and  laid in a corner in the fetal position and started sucking her thumb.

I've owned a pair of Swarovski Habicht 8x30 SLC's for about 12 years now and consider them one of the most important tools in my hunting bag. If I ruined them tomorrow, or lost them, I wouldn't hesitate a minute to buy the same again.
Yup - wimmin just have a hard time coping with a guy's priorities!! :D

i found out how important some good binoculars are to have.I'm hunting this area that is very open BUT very dark, and it's loaded with deer! so i walk and look as far as i can see and when i see some deer i sit and watch. when i first started hunting this area i never used my binoculars and hardly ever saw deer. always saw alot of sign but i just didn't understand why i was not seeing more deer, well what it was is they were seeing me waaay before i was seeing them.I watched a bachler group from about 150 yards away walk and bed down. This was three days before the season opened.(2 eight points and 1 six point) later in the year i got to see the six point again, he had about a 5or6 inch spread but his antlers were about 24 inches high.

Once I became convinced that the extra $$$ spent on European optics is well worth it, I started saving for a pair of Zeiss', because some of my customers had let me try theirs. Well anyway, I ended up with a great pair of used Swaro 8 x30. Fantastic for woods work. This past fall I compared them in the field to a pair of Ziess Victorys, and the Swaros are clearly better.I would not have said anything to him, but even the guy that owned the Z's pointed that out. By the way way I bought them from Rocstad Enterprises, a big dealer of good used European binos, scopes, etc. He's very easy to deal with, and advertises every month the Safari Club newspaper.
I made the mistake of letting my wife use them once....now she wants a pair.

yea, i wish mine was a little smaller, around the 8x30 size. but i'm very happy. i cant put them down for more than 30 min.I love the design of the lens covers, the way they stay attached to the binoculars while you're looking through them.those 8x30 are very nice and compact.

You are so right about quality optics less quality cost me a nice Dall sheep once. When I went for the finest binocular that I could get I chose the Lieca 10X42 trinovid's and have not been disapointed I am sure that I would have been pleased with Swarvorski as well

Man and i thought when my low quality optics cost me a big whitetail was bad enough. Can't imagine a Dall sheep..would like to hear the story on that sometime.
