I WANT......a stainless, ported, guide-gun-length Marlin in 450.
To my knowledge it is not made (yet?)
I cant find a spot in the Marlin Firearms webpage to suggest this, as "catalogue request" is the closest thing I can see to actual communication with a CSR there.
I know I can get a Truckload of 45-70 this way, but why not in 450? :( :( :(
Am I alone on this one?

You are not alone. I would have gotten one several years ago if they were made. I am waiting patiently for it now. I spoke with a customer service rep from Marlin and they acted like they didn't want to even consider the possibility for me. It seems like it would not be difficult to do either, I could be wrong. Maybe one day.

Back a few years ago when I was "industry insider" read that as worked at a gun shop, I had heard that they did try the .450 in stainless but didn't put it into production for some reason , don't know if the reasoning was mechanical in nature or just a marketing decision . If I remember correctly this came up while talking to a major distributor , so it might have some merit to it , more so than if I overheard it from one of our everpresent gun groupies that seem to have a line on everything.

I wanted an 1895MR (22" bbl, half mag, pistol-grip .450), but they quit making it! :(
