i have a traditions 209 tracker .50 cal.. for an inexpensive gun it shoots exceptionally well,as long as i hold up my end. however the primers can be a pain to get out after fireing. i have thought of trying to "alter" the little ring thing that goes around the nipple, but i am not sure that would have any effect. anyone have any ideas?

Did you buy the gun new? If so, it should have come with a deprimer tool that is easy to use. I bought a combination deprimer/ capper tool for my gun, and I have used one for several years. It makes the process a breeze, especially if you have big fingers.
