I Have The Chance To But A Contender From A Friend Who Has Three Of Them. It Is The Older Style And Is Only The Frame And Stock, No Barrel For $150.00. My Question Is Will Barrels From The G2's Fit The Older Style Contenders? Stocks? Ect? Any Up's And Down's With The Older Ones....thank You

No problems with the older style Contenders, other than having to open the action to recock the hammer. The G2's corrected this.

All my Contenders are the older style, so can't speak with authority as to the interchangeability of the them and the G2 barrels. If the frame hasn't been stretched (the crosspin for the barrel still fits snug in the frame) with hot loads, the price is about average.

Price about right, DOC.
Some things to watch. The G2 takes the same barrels but diferrent stocks that the contender.
Contenders generally have better out-of-the-box triggers and are ajudtable to some extent. Not so G2's
Some older Contender have a single piece bolt (the part under the chamber that slides in and out with extractor). If so it will need to be replaced (free from TC) with a two piece bolt or it may work soradically with newer barrels (once cost me a trophy buck).
Finally, and even professional gun writers get this wrong, you don't have to "open the action" of a Contender to recock it.
Just pull back the spur that opens the action to reset the mechanism. Barrel does not have to be moved. So, the G2 mechanism is nice but hardly worth paying more for.

Contender barrels are all the same. Grips are not interchangable.
