does anyone know if the Taurus tracker series can handle "hotter" loads than factory loads?
I've been looking at these two guns...

the titanium tracker in 45colt

and this one:

the ported stainless tracker.

Shooting times just did an article on a torture test of a titanium tracker in 357 that held up wonderfully against 5000 continuos full power factory loads.

thanks in advance,

Chris~

I wouldn't push the Ti's myself. Yeah, they're strong - but the metal is somewhat elastic. The 'usual' factory .357s are fine; the Cor-Bons I've used have just a bit of sticky extraction. Not much, but just a touch.

My stainless version of the same gun doesn't exhibit the same behavior. Both are a handful, besides!!!! (2 inch snubbies).

This is just personal opinion and conjecture, except for the part about recoil, that's fact

I've tried a 41 mag w/ factory loads and the recoil is ugly!

The trigger guard did a number on my nuckle. Based on my experience I wouldn't want to shoot hot loads.
