Has anyone been able to try this new version from Ruger? Does it do anything better or worse than MkII? As I am changing my Kora Brno 6" .22 revolver to a pistol I wanted to ask you about Ruger, as I havent met anyone who has tried it, and some MkII owners here in Finland has some suspects about the loaded chamber indicator and the magazine disconnect. They think that it will make gun less reliable thus I dont know what they mean with that.

I have handled a 4" bullbarrel 22/45 & the hunter versions, but haven't shot either. Very similar handling to the MKII. I like the new mag release but didn't care for the loaded chamber indicator or mag disconnect. There is some concern about the safety of the loaded chamber indicator http://www.markii.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=1689&st=0

Make sure the Mark III was made after the recall. The loaded chamber indicator was discharging the bullet when pressed.
The recall took care of it but a used one may not have been sent back nor a new one for that matter.
