Are there any companies that make hunting rifles in the .303 British caliber? I just love that cartridge and I have a Enfield No.4 MKI. But I can't use it to hunt because it has a ten round magazine. If there is no company that makes hunting rifles in the caliber, is there a after market five round magazine for the enfield?

Yes, have seen the 5-rounders. And have seen 10rounders that wre modifided to only take 5 rounds...will try to find the maker's name/web site.
So far as I know, other than some of the recent Repro. Winchester 1895's, there aren't any .303bits for sale in the US. May be some being chambered elsewhere...and it may be one of the options for the high end cutom makers who list "all standard and wildcat chemberings availiable."
Problem is you need an action that is made to handle big rimmed rounds...and there are few bolt actions that will.

Is winchester still making repro 1895s. I noticed that they were also chambered in .30-40 Krag. I would love to have a rifle in that caliber also.

I'd love to have a modern sporting rifle in .303 as well. Military rifles don't interest me in any form. I'd love to see a Ruger #1-A in .303 British. I'm sure it could be done via the custom route. I thought about having an Encore barrel chambered to it but not many makers offer any barrels in the proper bore diameter. BTW, none of the repo 1895's were offered in .303. The Brownings were offered in .30/40 and .30/06 and the Winchesters have been in .270, .30/06 & .405.

A five round magazine can be easily be made from the original ten round, by measuring down 1/2" from the bottom of the forearm, remove the cartridge follower and cut with a hacksaw. make a new floor plate, and have it welded in by TIG welding, smooth weld and reblue. Re install follower and spring. Presto a five round Magazine. Did this many times back in the 60's when SMLE's were selling for $15.00 to $25.00. Many hunters did not like the large magazine hanging down in front of the trigger guard. Bishop made a butstock that was installed, and the forearm and barrel shortened to suit. new front sights installed, and you had a good sporting rifle capable of taking most any North American game available.
