Have used them and they will work if you follow instructions.

Since most of my rifles are bolt guns, usually bore sight on an ornamental light fixture hanging on a wall across the golf course from my gunroom. Also use the Leupold Scopesmith, a little magnetic scope sighting device that sticks to the muzzle and provides a quick and dirty scope ajduster.

If you are interested in one of the laser units, I've got a GSY Laser Bore Sighting System still new in the box that could be had pretty cheep! Send me a PM if you want.

I bought on of the "Laserlyte" bore sighters two years ago, and it has different arbor adapters for different calibers ( it is real easy to use). I have used it for everything from a 22 to a 50 caliber black powder rifle. When you sight it in, it will get you on the paper without wasting a lot of bullets out to 25 yards. The windage is usually on the money, with height varying due to bullet weight and powder. I got it from Natchez shooters supply (natchezss.com), and it has saved me a lot of bullets.

I got a sightmark laser bore sight and i absolutely loved it. Best product i brought in a while, they make them per caliber and easy to use.
