:)Hello, my friends and not-so-friends,
Regardless of the catagory you may fall into, we pistol shooters have much in common-----WIGGLE CONTROL is the biggest hurdle, if accurate shooting is a goal.
If I had a dollar for every pistol rest on the market I wouldn't be needing to sell some of mine so I can buy some more gun !
I am asking some questions of my fellow members of this forum, and would appreciate it if I could hear from you in a timely manner. They are:
1. Do you like to develop reloads for your handguns that SHOOT THE TIGHTEST groups of five shots each?
2. Do you shoot FIVE groups of FIVE shots each---with EACH reload and then average them to be able to compare different reloads?
3. Do you agree that, "The least the shooter touches the handgun, the tighter the groups will be?"
4. Would you like to be able to reduce your group sizes in HALF of whatever method you are using today ?
5. At what range distance do you do most all your testing ?
6. Do you now use something besides sandbags for a pistol rest?
7. Which one(s) ?
8. Which calibers do you test ?
9. Which pistols and barrel lengths do you use mostly ?
OK, now it is your turn to ask me questions by sending them to me at my e-mail address on file in this forum.
Now some teasers for you, but first let me pre-answer some questions.
Why ANOTHER pistol rest? Most pistol rests available today do NOT prevent horizontal wiggle. Most that do what mine will do with what is CLOSE to as tight of groups, weigh too much, are too bulkier and much more costly. Oh yeah, mine also controls vertical control. My rest rwequires one hand to trigger the handgun and the other to move the rest to place the crosshairs on the target. Uh huh, mine can be used without a hold-down, vertical-recoil reducer, but WITH it, I think you'd be impressed with the accuracy.
This is NOT for magnum calibers used for hunting or impressing fellow shooters with how much recoil you can absorb without crying.
I know this is long, but for those interested, use my e-mail address and I'll send you some images of the prototype-rest and some images of variious pistols resting in the rest.
My second trip to the range at 25 yards, using a Ruger, stainless, Model II, Competition equipped with a 4x scope averaged 0.495" c-t-c for five shots, five different groups. If this doesn't interest you enough to answer a few questions, I'll understand when you don't. :D
God bless you all.
