Anyone know how to improve the strength of the Marlin guide gun empty case ejector? Mine seems to just kind of push the empty out of the ejection port, instead of throwing it out .

Sounds like you may have lost a part. It's easy for the ejector spring to drop out if you remove the bolt. Is the ejector in place alongside the bolt, or are you only relying on the extractor to pull the case out?

Wild West Guns makes a replacement ejector. Midway sells them for about $25. Good luck.

When I push the ejector with my finger I feel the spring pressure. Someone in the know today told me that sometimes the ejector spring is weakened to make the action smoother.

This may seem over simplified, but in any manually operated action, with the exception of those with Remington type plunger ejectors, you control the force of ejection. If you operate the gun slowly, such as watching to see what it does, the case will just dribble out. If you operate the action briskly, ejection will also be brisk.
From your description, there is nothing wrong with the gun, just nobody is reading wht you wrote!

I read what spurgon wrote, but had a hard time understanding why it wouldn't eject briskly, if the ejector was really in place.
I've read that some grind the ejector a bit to allow a smoother bolt movement, but that shouldn't change the spring. If it won't eject when you lever back briskly, it may be bent.
Ejectors are cheap from Brownell's...you might order a new one. I always keep a spare around because I'm always loseing the darn things when I pull the bolt and tip the rifle on its side.
