Anyone know if Colt is producing a "50th" anniversary edition of this classic?

i may be wrong, but i was under the impression that Colt quit producing new firearms for the public? once again i may be off here.

I looked at their website, and while they are still producing firearms for public consumption, I didn't see any mention of a Python anniversary issue nor any DA revolvers at all.

I been looking at their web site for two days and the commercial portion of it looks to have been dismantled(?). Millitary and Law Enforcement portions still show product , so I don't know.

Ahh! there it is I must have had a link to an older version of their site , I had heard that for a while they halted production of their commecial stuff (might explain the site I came across) but I don't know whether it ever totally happened?

Thanks guys for the Info. I have been doing a little reserch myself. Seems that here in "The Peoples Republic of California" I won't be able to get a Python anyway. The Python is apparently not on the "Approved" list.
Thanks Anyway
