Folks it all depends on Application. Target shooting, cant beat a single action 1911.
There's a reason why Law Enforcement "Generally" require Double Action and Double Action only "Finger Control".
I personaly like the DBL Action only along with the Glock action for CCW.
I own each type and appreciate them all.
My favorite for CCW is the S&W 5943 9mm 15rds. I just picked it up and it found a place(Application).
Hunting I carry a Glock G20 in 10mm 2 15 round mags makes 30 rds and 2 10 rounders and I have a box of ammo to back up the rifle(Application)
Home Defense Six-Shooter 357 DBL action snubby one hand operation even for the little woman(Application)
Single Action 1911 Ragged holes at 15 yards and respectful at 25yrds(Application)
Application is a good excuse to buy more.
