Hey guys:

I've been watching the weather reports and there is a definite warming trend in the UP. Is the snow disappearing? I'm getting awfully anxious to get back to "God's Country".

[Yep it is really melting. We lost probably 18 inches so far. Alot of mud in areas that I kept plowed. Would not try going out in woods roads yet. Saw 60 yesterday. We still have about 18 inches on the ground. All slushy stuff. Supposed to get rain the next couple days. South of me there is alot of bare ground showing. Still over 20 inches of ice on lakes, alot of standing water on top. this is the bad time of year. Not much you can do outside. Ground is pretty much saturated and will take awhile to dry up. Winter ain't over yet. i bet we still get a few more good snows. Have not seen any bear or sign yet. Last year I saw my first bear March 15. Deer are migrating north already. Seeing alot of them lately and are in real good shape. Had a doe and 2 yearlings in driveway this morning and 6 in back yard last night. Put out 3 bales of hay and a couple bushel of corn for them. They need the food right now. I put out food all winter for them. Alot of people up here try to help them through winter. Spring is coming though. Better get up here and enjoy the good life. God bless Steve
