Greetings, I am happy to be a member of this fine forum. I have been a lurker for some time in the Leverguns and C&R sections and decided to register.
Anyway, my first rifle was one of these fine weapons, and I love it except for the stock sights. I like aperture type sights, and I am looking at a Williams FP-39tm. Does anyone know if I will need a taller front post with it?
Thank you

Not sure if you will need a taller front sight for the 39. My 336C did need a taller sight after installing a Williams 5D 336.
Check out this site and tell me what you think. I am ready to try it!

39M is my first, too. I put an FP on it a year or so ago. It's already drilled and tapped, so it took only a few minutes. It's low enough and uses the orig. front sight.

Mine is a 2001 39a and does not have the drilling and tapping on the side of the receiver. It only has the scope mount holes, which is why I was looking at the TM model, as it mounts in those holes.
Thank You
