Well, I recently picked up a nice HS 38S revolver with the 4 inch barrel and thought it would be kind of fun to start taking it to the range. I have been reloading rifle ammo for many years and have really never loaded any pistol ammo. I was looking through my numerous books and discovered that there is a ton if different bullet combinations and powders to use. I have about a 1000 148GR wad cutters and a 1000 125GR Remington Semi-Jacketed Hollow Points. Any info you might suggest on reloading this would be appreciated. My brass is all +P brass.
Powder?
OAL?
and what ever else that would allow me to work up a bunch of safe accurate loads.

some nice plinking loads that I use that are accurate in my 357 are 2.8 gr bullseye with the 148 gr wadcutter.I made some nice loads with unique with the 158 gr swc as well ,can't remember the powder charge but was accurate as well. The little wadcutters are fun to shoot with no recoil..Good for initiating new shooters to the sport as well. Have fun

Ribbonstone,

I guess SportArms Miami, Florida, but it says it was made in West Germany. At least that is what it says on the gun. I have not seen one before because I have always owned rifles. Generally I stick to Cooper, CZ, Winchester, Remington, Ruger, and Savage so this pistol is a new one on me. Is it worth a hoot for plinking?

Thanks.

Thanks for the pointers butler. Some times there are just to many choices so I like to reach out and see what others have had luck with. I am not going to be quite as picky about these because it is just for plinking. Safety will be always observed but I don't want to invest the time to come up with the loads I use in my 200-600 yard rifle shooting. I would be glad to knock cans off of a stump for some fun.
