Just getting into CAS, and in the process of obtaining all my cowboy guns.

Took the new EMF/Rossi 1892 carbine/stainless in .45Colt to the range last weekend, and shot about 100 rounds. Store bought, and reloads.

The action was a little stiff, and a couple of rounds, would not feed smoothly, but it's getting better with use.

The only real problem I have is with the gun ejecting the cases. You have to firmly push the lever to get the case to eject, and then it does't go very far, and the last case(10), doesn't get ejected at all! It just falls back in the receiver on top of the carrier.

I'm not a gunsmith, but I can't see anything wrong with the extractor, or the ejector. BTW, when I cycle live rounds thru the action, it flings them all out with normal force.

Is this normal for a 1892? I have a 1894 in .30-.30, that doesn't have this problem. Maybe it's the .45Colt.

No one's answered yet, so I'll say I haven't read or heard of this problem, & I hang out on the leverguns.com forum a little bit. It's probably an easy fix, and you might contact Steve at www.stevesgunz.com to see what he thinks. Steve (aka Nate Kiowa Jones) does CAS and specializes in the Rossi '92s & has a great reputation. As far as trusting him with my money, I have a 16" 92 in .44 Special on order with him now. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply! Was starting to give up. First off this is a new rifle, that is relatively inexpensive($375). I've had a run of bad luck with guns lately, and I'm sick and tired of the shipping costs, and waiting to get them back!

People have recommended Steve, but I think that I shouldn't have to spend an extra $120 bucks to make something right in the first place!

I'll try putting another 100 rounds or so thru it, and see if the ejector doesn't loosen up!

If not, off it goes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks again
