Hey Guys,

I need some 250 grain round nosed (or heavier) .358 cal bullets for my .358 Norma Magnum. I've always held Barnes Originals in highest regard, but in a recent email, Ty Herring tells me Barnes doesn't have any left in stock, and makes no offer to make a run for me. Fred Barnes would have..... and so goes the world.

What brands of bullets are of equal quality, I've never had to buy another brand for this rifle.......

Been a bit, but have used bullets from Hawk...nice selection fo odd sizes, weights, and a choice in jacket thickness.

At least their WebSite is still up...

Haven't used the .358" bulelts...have used others. Considering the speed at whcih you will push them, better to order the thicker jacketed vesion.

I've heard too many horror stories about the Hawks. I wouldn't touch them, especially at your velocities.

As I mentioned to you on the Leverguns.com forum, give the 250-gr. Hornady (spitzer or RN) a try. I imagine they'll act like a Barnes, if not better.

Mike Brady at North Fork makes 250 and 270 grain .358" bullets.
