Does anyone possibly have load data for the Barnes Triple Shock, 500 gr. out of a 45-70 Siamese Mauser?
Thanks,
Dick Willey

Per Barnes, it's the Triple Shock starts at the max load for their X bullets - I don't have access to a Barnes loading manual and don't even know if they cover a 500 gr. 45-70 out of a Siamese Mauser like my Hornady reloading book does.
Hornaday gives me a max load of 47.6gr. of IMR 4198 behind a 500gr. RN or FMJ RN.
Don't know if I should start with say 45grs. and work my way up to a reasonable load for the Triple Shocks. Any ideas would be sincerely appreciated.

My Barnes #2 reloading manual only covers 45-70 .458" bullets up to 400 gr. - no listing for 500 gr.

Thanks Kdub, If all else fails, I'll try Barnes directly and see if I get a reply.

Ruger & Mauser data. hope this helps you out! as these are only loads for Std projectiles not barnes.

It's too bad the bullet manufacturers don't offer load data on their web sites like the powder guys do.
