CBE stands for cast bullet engineering which is a local mould manufacturer here in Australia. Jim Allison is the proprietors name and his web site is
www.castbulletengineering.bigpondhosting.com
Jim makes a great mould and I have several. He is always a few weeks behind so you can guess that he is making a good product. I certainly give him 10/10.
I would have replied earlier but I was having some problems with my sign on

I swear by CBE moulds I got one about 3mths ago for my Lad's 310 cadet I also have been using a 405gn fn for my 45-70 for a few years now .They're a fantastic mould .Theyv'e never given me any grief whatso ever my favorite would have to be a 180gn .303 .It has never thrown a bad bullet in the time I've owned it :D
I have quite a few, one of which I've used A LOT! Like them. There are, however, two drawbacks. First if you get a dud mould, and that does happen, it is hard to send it back for repair. Second six or so months after you get the mould you will get a bill for the import duty.
If you buy be sure to use your Visa or MasterCard as that is the easiest and cheapest way to handle the currency conversion.

Thanks Guys for the info on CBE moulds. I understand that the 577-450 Mk 3 likes a bullet of .462 to .464. Try and find a mould like that! Good luck! I've got a little more work to do on paper patching and then try a larger dia mould. Assuming CBE puts one up. The repair factor might be a challenge should it be necessary. Here in Canada we pay the stickup men at Customs and Excise at the post office as soon as the object arrives. Canadian polititians have never met a tax they didn't like !- Cariboo

Cariboo,
We have lots of 577/450 shooters in Australia and I am positive that Jim does a number of moulds in 462 or 463 with weights ranging from 420gn to 510gn. If you want to slug your bore and give me the grove diameter I can call him if you like and see exactly what he has that will be suitable. Just drop me an email or a PM.
Our tax men have obviously been taking lessons from yours as the import nazis hover like vultures around the post office and make my life a misery! Of course if someone was to send it to you as a birthday gift no duty would attach

Cariboo,
An excelant site. If you could not sort out a 577/450 there I think you would have troubles.
Sorry for the delay in reply. I have been away hunting for a week and just returned today.
