Just got in from 4 hrs of Spotlighting for Foxes (had to bring the young Bloke home for bed.So time for a feed & play before I go back out to work )So far this everning I've accounted for 12 & the night is but young as it were!& I havent left my property as yet.The skins are not up to full buyer potential yet but their better than I've seen in a couple of years.Could be a Cold winter comming up I feel. :D

Kdub. The problem we have is that nobody has been shooting them in years as the price of skins fell in the mid 1980's & in my case I've always been working at the Roo shooting side to bother about them .So they have got slightly out of hand .My Wife has now put her foot down & told me to get of my rear & do something about them. Also she has offered my services to everyother property owner within 40squr Kms of us.I faer it's going to be a long winter :p

Sounds like a lot of fun shooting to me! :p

Don't keep up with the fur prices anymore - can you make pocket change out of the hides, now?

So far the prices are being held down as its early in the season .Last year they ,went up to $15.00 which was really poor ,considering in the 80's they averaged around $35.00& went as high as $50.00 (not that I or anybody I knew ever got that much) Best I ever got was $42.oo average for 100 skins I got shooting along the Sth AUZ- West AUZ border. On the Nullubour plain. If they go to $20.00 this year I'll be happy :D

lol

As usual a lack of free time is the natural enemy of pursuing the things one would like to do. Plenty of great hunting areas, just getting access to them is the perennial issue. ;)
