Just wanted to show this .54 caliberr muzzleloader. I have shot it about 1000 times. It's super accurate at 75 yards. The barrels are registerd so the projectiles hit very close to the same spot, even though it only has one sight.

I should have taken more pictures, but this is the only one I have for now. It's a great gun. If you ever get the chance to get one, I would grab it.

I've looked at these in the Cabales catalog. Often thought this might make a good muzzle loader for elk. Here in Idaho they have split the muzzle loader season up into two classes now. One season is for swing hammer muzzle loaders only shooting patched balls with black or black powder substitute. No powder pellets, sabots or minnie balls allowed.

I like the idea of two shots and I see this side by side can be had up to 72 calibre I think. Anyway it would be legal for our "triditional" muzzle loader hunt.

It sounds like your getting good accuracy from yours and it is pleasent to shoot. Right now I am shooting a Remington 700 inline and having given my swing hammer to a friend I am doing some tire kicking.

What's the first thing you always do when you fire a muzzleloader? Reload, of course!

Having that extra barrel is just fantastic. It doubles your chances. Those are pretty good odds. The Kodiak Express is a pricey gun, but in my opinion it's worth it.

I don't have any .72 caliber guns, but I would sure like to have one. I'm thinking though that based on the .58 caliber gun that I do have, the .54 caliber might be the best hunting size projectile for larger game. It's super accurate and has enough weight to do plenty of damage. It seems that with the very large projectiles, accuracy tends to diminish.

The Kodiak Express double has to be my favorite muzzleloader out of the bunch. I really like the Crockett and the Senecas too, but they are in a different category.

Thinking of that sarcastic song. "Way to go, Idaho".
