Lo, these many moons ago, I was taught that the proper jacketed bullet for a given bore diameter was sised to that bore, while a lead bullet was sized to bore + .001 to .002 inches over. My Uberti Smith and Wesson .44 Russian has a bore diameter of .429 inches. My cast Saeco 200 grain Round nose, flatpoints are sized to .430 and shoot quite acceptably, thank you. My question is this; is there any advantage to using .430 jacketed bullets in my revolver or should I stick to .429 jacketed bullets.
Think I'd stick with the .429's if they give acceptable accuracy, Odd -
Never too good an idea to stick oversize jacketed bullets into the bores, especially replica firearms. Will radically increase pressures.

I "second" that response. If you want to accelerate wear in your bore, go with the .430!
