I don't know if this is the appropriate place for this...but I didn't see the "Rifle Sights" forum. :)

Brockmans makes a scope base with an integrated peep sight, you remove the scope and an aperature sight pops up. Has anyone used/seen one of these setups? Any comments would be appreciated.

Hey mate...check my post in Big-Bore Lever-Guns.

Brockman does great work from what I've seen and used.

Them pop-up sights are GOOD-TO-GO too - merc.

I'll have to give him a call once some other issues are ironed out and see what sort of front sight setup he recommends with his mouning base aperature. NEGC makes a barrel band front sight that looks very interesting. This sight has a bunch of changable inserts that make it look like an ideal choice. The problem with iron sights on a rifle is that you never quite know what it's going to look like, from behind the stock, until you've bought and paid for them.

XS Sight Systems also makes a base with a sight on it.

ironhead,
most of the XS sights I've seen have been fairly course, like for quick shorter range shooting. Do they also have a sight meant for longer range shooting?

Sorry I didnt answer sooner. Dont know how i missed the post. To answer you question I think XS has a smaller version that may be more precise. I tried to acces the XS website but couldnt get it. Im new to computers so try getting in touch with them.
