Hey all, I have a gel wrist rest that might fit on my shotgun and was thinking of using it as a recoil pad.
Has anyone tried this? Should I expect it to blow out all over my shoulder the first time I fire a 3" round?

Hopefully, it doesn't have the same properties as silly putty, which shatters on sudden impact.

well it shouldnt "explode", as most likely its not filled with "gell" but it is a one solid peice not a gell covered in some sort of membrain.
but it may not be strong enough to acctually cushion the recoil, it may just move out of the way of the butt so to speak, and it may acctually split and tear from the force, however i dont think it would happen, as most are fairly resiliant (afterall most pads are made to be walked on for a long time).
