A friend has a muzzle loader hunt in Ont. this fall and asked the question. (He would be driving from KY) DO the muzzle loaders have the same laws as other long guns. I have no answer for that, can someone here help us out with information and resources? I don't think he is going through an outfitter/guide.
Thanks
Larry

The rules for muzzleloaders are pretty well the same as for centrefire rifles. As usual, forget about pistols. Canadians don't have to register flintlock rifles, but I'm not sure about visitors. I don't know what Ontario hunting regulations say about muzzleloaders. If it loads from the front, it's legal in Saskatchewan, but Ontario might have some regs about optics or in-lines.

Have your paperwork done before you hit the border.
