Does anybody here have any expierence with the GG&G SPEAR stock for remington 700's? Aside of the fact that it looks absolutely bad and has a good sales pitch, I can not find any info on whether it performs nicely.

I am sure it works well, but my question is, what on earth do you need an $800 stock for, seems to me that you could spend less money on a proven commodity like an HS precision or McMillan stock

Got to go with jb on that, course you always might land a part in the next starwars with a gadget like that. Lots of folks into the high tech stuff now and I guess unless your retired $800 does not mean to much.

I guess I'm old fashioned as I'm getting back to good wood and blue steel. Used to build high tech sheep rifles, but they were blue with Brown precision stocks so still looked like rifles.

If you like the look there are several folks making sniper glass, aluminum chassis stocks. Some of the good ones go for a couple of grand though.
