Folks-

Just wondering what is your prescribed method for cleaning at the range? I have a .50 caliber Persuit LT and have it shooting pretty well with iron sights, but I want to scope it and zero it in.

Also, I'm shooting Powerbelt hollow point bullets, 295 grains, with 100 grains of Pyrodex. What do you guys zero in at?

Thanks for your wisdom,

Steve

I zero at 100 yards. Shoot Rem 700ML .54 cal, Lee cast emproved 435 grain improved minni, 150 grains Triple seven.

clean with plan water, and use a 28 gauge bore snake. Usually one pass then oil.

Use Williams fire sights for hunting. Put on a scope just to check the accuracy of loads and gun. Getting 1.5 inch groups with the scope and 3.5 inch groups with the open sights at a hundred. It's the best my old eyes can do.

I switched from pyrodox when triple seven came out, better velocity and much easier to clean up. If your gonna use a black powder substitute why not use the one that is easier to clean.

With the lighter velocity and a scope you may want to zero that an inch or two high if the groups warrent to take advantage of the better trejectory out to 200 yards.
