Sighted in my NEF Ultra slug gun today with the laminated stock. Put one of those Bushnell Banner scopes on it. Used Winchester 1oz. sabot slugs. shot around 2" off a fair rest. May do better with slugs lighter than 1oz. have to get some more and see. Recoil wasn't bad at all with the recoil pad that came on it!

The only slug that mine and the two others I have experience with will shoot with accuracy are the Lightfield slugs. The factory recommends them in the paperwork. Never tried the Win sabots but spent too much $ on others that did not work until I tried what they recommended. Will shoot the Lightfields into 2" at 125 yds on the range I use. All together a very good firearm especially considering the low cost.

Thanks for the reply! Someone else had told me about Lightfields. I know what you mean about the$$$! Ran into the same issue myself. I'll get some of those and try them though!

By the way, did yours like the 2-3/4" or 3" better? I know mine may be exactly opposite, just curious!
