Howdy!
I'm planning on acquiring a C&R and am wondering if anyones knows if a firearm purchased using the C&R must be delivered to the address on the license? Or if I can list my home address and my office address both and designate one as "address" and the other as "mailing address"?
The reason for the question is that most dealers will send the firearm to your home, but will require an "adult signature". Since I'm at work when the UPS/FED-EX/USPS guys come this could solve that problem by having the firearm delivered to me at my office.
Anyone have any experience like this? Thanks so much!!

Rent a private mail box at a place such as The UPS Store (formerly Mailboxes, Etc.). Not a POBox from the Post Office, but a private place. That is how I get ammo and gunpowder delivered from Midway and other places. Good luck.

By the way, is your collection geared toward a certain make, model, time period, etc? Or just a little of everything. The fact that you are getting a C&R makes me curious.

Thanks for the suggestion, but will the private mailbox places sign for a delivery requiring an "adult signature"? That is, if I have a pistol shipped to the Mailboxes etc. place will I still have to go to UPS/FED EX/USPS to sign for deliver?
Regarding my interests, I've become intrigued by post WWII pistols of the Communist Bloc. Right now my interests are on the CZ 52, a very high performance semi automatic in 7.62 x 25, which qualifies under the C&R regs.

If you are not there when the UPS tries to deliver your C&R gun, you can call them and have it rerouted to another address.
I have arms sent to my home address, usually via USPS. They seem to be more "gun friendly" than either UPS of FedEx. If I am not present, they merely leave a note and i go to the back door of the local facility to pick up my package. I did return home a while back to see an obvious box leaning next to the front door. Needless to say, the supervisor was notified of my obvious dismay.

In short, whatever address is on the C&R is the address the firearm must ship to. That is also the address the firearms are supposed to be stored at, so doing your office could be a problem since you do not keep them there. It may be wise to go to the ATFE (http://www.atf.gov/) web site and download the 2000 Federal Firearms Regulations Reference Guide. All you questions will be answered in there.
