Pretty self explanatory - and an eye opener!!

Anyone who trusts an individual at a gunshow hawking private sale of powder or primers is strictly on his own as far as quality.

That's one reason I like the Vihtavuori line of powders - the containers come with a plastic top that must have an attached strip physically removed before opening. - sorta like the old milk container lids. No other powder mfg'r provides something similar, to my knowledge.

Many times, even purchasing at a local sporting goods store, I've wondered if the inner seal on a can of powder wasn't somehow jillflirted because it only seemed partially sealed when I opened it.

Thanks for the heads up, MikeG and Marshall. Tyro handloaders - take heed.

Think Marshall has to work on that link...doesn't bring you to the Taurus Ti test, brings you to the contaminated powder warning. One step backwards will bring you there.

Read the article..does make a great case for maintaining guns and using what you are comfortable with.

[Hi all you Gun-nuts, Been shooting & loading since 1946.
Needless to say I have seen a lot of powder go out the bbl.
I have 2 Taurus mod 617, one heavy stainless for shooting, &
a Ti mod 617 for consealed carry. Love both, no problems.
Also just aquaired a new 8 shot Taurus Revolver to play with.
