Heiio, I just regestered and I have a question, How do you dissassemble a stevens 311R for for storage (remove barrells)?

IF I remember the Savage right (and the one I'm thinking of is probably a lot older than yours) the fore end is held on by a spring latch...just pull the tip down and it should disconnect.
With the fore end off, opening the barrels as if to load it will let them pivot farther down and just come off the frame.
Nothing I can remember as a real trouble spot with the Savage...some of the older ones have firing pins mounted from the INSIDE of the frame, which makes replacement a real pain in the rump, so I'd not dry fire it without snap caps.
