Two Jewish men, "Sid" and "Al," were sitting in a Mexican restaurant. Sid asked Al, "Are there any people of our faith born and raised in Mexico?"

Al replied, "I don't know, let's ask our waiter." When the waiter came by, Al asked him, "Are there any Mexican Jews?" and the waiter said, "I don't know Senor, I'll ask the cooks."

He returned from the kitchen in a few minutes and said "No sir, no Mexican Jews."

Al wasn't really satisfied with that and asked, "Are you absolutely sure?" The waiter, realizing he was dealing with "Gringos" gave the expected answer, "I will check again, Senor!" and went back into the kitchen.

While the waiter was away, Sid said, "I find it hard to believe that there are no Jews in Mexico. Our people are scattered everywhere."

The waiter returned and said, "Senor, the head cook said there is no Mexican Jews."

"Are you certain?" Al asked once again, "I can't believe there are no Mexican Jews!"

"Senor, I ask EVERYONE," replied the exasperated waiter. "All we have is orange Jews, prune Jews, tomato Jews and grape Jews."

Lee,

I know we've both noticed that different cultures have a habit of talking past each other....

DOK, We've all heard the one where the woman takes her Poodle into a reasturant in the Far East and asks the waiter to see that it is fed as well, and the cook comes out with the dog roasted. Well that is quite possible when two diffrent cultures have a language barrier. There ar many reasturants in the Far East where you can take in an animal you want to eat, and it will be prepared for you. (Dog is served in Korea a lot).

I'll guarantee you I'm not going to tell my wife about those cultural difference. Just brought her home from the hospital and the first thing she said when she came through the door is "Have you fed the dogs yet?" Two dogs and I'm in third place at best !!

acctually most culturs eat dog.
its just most of us westerners that think it is a vile meal.
it is eaten in bassicly every country to the south of us.
most middle eastern counties have at least one dog dish as well as the far east.

and i have to say dog doesnt taste bad.

Dog isn't bad. Disney was bad for the U.S. that way. ;)

We do it here even. A woman from Georgia took her Persian cat into the groomer and asked for a line cut to trim the cat's fur.

Well the drawl makes line sound something like lion. So that is what she got. Usually it is a poodle cut though. :D :D :D
Bet that cat was peeved!

American Indians and the old fur trappers thought young, fat puppies roasted and stewed up well.
