I wonder what is the pistol of Jack Carter in the original "Get Carter" movie. Is it a SIG P210 ?

Certainly looks like it..odd to see action heros carrying target pistols.

Looks like a SIG 210 (think the target version was a 210-5).

And that wite car sure looks like a "Sunbeam".

They have two, the 210-5 and 210-6, that are still listed as current production.

Don't know how old this was. The only Sig P210 I've ever known was a target pistol. The ignorance of youth on display. :)

Yep, a Sunbeam with a very hot chick in the trunk, just few seconds before being thrown down in the waters by the bad guys

HAd an Uncle that worked for Chysler...he bought a Sunbeam Tiger (wich is that car with a Ford engine, transmission, rear end)...swaped out the Ford stuff and stuffed his MOPAR stuff inside (which too a lot of doing and a new custom made hood..which he always refered to as a "Bonnet"). Hard to keep that little car hooked up to the road (helped when he welded lengths of rail road rail to the rear end), but sure was fun.

Considering the collectability of the origianl Tigers, was proably a bad move to swap running gear, but who knew in 1968?

As for the SIG...never owned 210 (couldn't afford to) but have pulled the trigger one one...that one had a dull military finish, but certainly was a quaility haudgun.

If you ever get a chance to see Point of No Return (starring Bridget Fonda), check out her Hammerli 280 target pistol (which is available in .22 Long Rifle or .32 Smith & Wesson Long). She even poses with it on the front cover.

Catchg James Bond occasionally running the slide back on his little Beretta Jetfire (which isn't true to the books...belive it was a Beretta 418)...guess they decided using the tip-up barrel was too sissy (as if a .25 wasn't sissy enough).

Wasn't a giant James Bond fan....do remember reading the books after seeing Dr. No.

In the books, he has a .25acp Beretta fora t ime...eventually is convienced to put that away and get a "powerful handgun"...PPK .32acp.

Now you'd think a real life intellignece agent (which Ian was) would know better....but he didn't do his spying behind enemy lines.
