If Federal ever decides to market a buckshot load in their new "Heavyweight" shot, it will truly be a revolutionary shotshell development. Remington's "Hevi-shot" is approximately 10% heavier than lead. Federal's "Heavyweight" shot is some 35% heavier than lead. This would raise the weight of 00 buckshot from just over 50 grains to about 70 grains - a major leap in retained energy and penetration.
