I'm looking for information on an antique scope I have. The markings are as follows:

No. 491 R.L.B.
Bausch&Lomb Opt. Co. 1940
Rochester, N.Y.

The retical is a simple post that comes to a point.
I contacted Baush&Lomb and they have no idea what it is.
