My bride went out and dropped bucks on a new Winchester 94 Trapper in .45 Colt. Yep. Her rifle! But if I''m a really good boy she says I can shoot it some. Should be a nice match for her Ruger New Vaquero.

Now she's on me to get a Marble's tang sight installed PDQ. I checked the Marble's website and I see that there isn't such a model available for this rifle with its tang safety. I read elsewhere about using the model listed for the Winchester '92.

Question: Has anyone actually tried this? If so, let me know - and did you keep the factory front sight or replace it too? I'm considering an ivory bead front sight replacement. Why not go all out? Right? ;)

I just got a reply direct from Marble's on the peep sight question. (Amazing serevice!) It is as follows:

Yes, the peep for Win. 92 will work. Thank you for the kind words.

Thanks for that .I went down to pick out my 92 Rossi in 44-40 the other day & ended up getting a Trapper in 30-30! So I may have a look at the marble sights myself
