I never saw a dog with that many quills in it at one time, but the neighbour's pooch probably got that many over a lifetime. It never did learn.

The dog we had when I was a kid tied into a porky once. That was all it took. Plus the hour with mom pulling quills out of her face and paws probably helped her to realize the error of her ways. It wasn't anywhere near that bad though.

I agree with Marshall That hurts just looking at it.

I remember many years ago my family was at our family lake place and a porcupine came through the yard. My father got a broom to help hurry it along it's way before our dog caught site of it and went after it.
