Marshall:
In purchasing "2" boxes of your 525 pile drivers, it is still a mystery on what load we want to pursue for a Marlin 1895 application. I must admit your recommendations of using 4895@52.6 grains to achieve 1820 f.p.s. is appealing. The ballistics as when ran clearly demonstrates it's ability to perform at 200 yds and beyond. After testing several commercial loads for the 45-70, Remington's 405/1260 f.p.s vs. Corbon's 460/1650, we were amazed to see Corbon outperform Remington's load (taking in account of 55 grain bullet weight/mass difference) as much as "six" inches @ 100 yds. Velocity is the "key" for downrange performance!
Have you had any feed back on the 525's, when employed in Marlin's 1895 SS.
Thank's for your time.
