I can't seem to find what I want in So. CA anymore and am planning a road trip to Chicago via Interstate 15, 70 and 80 and was wondering where's the best place along the way to buy a Trails End Octagon (.45Colt) for around $600.00. I've got a surplus of near new .44Mag wheelguns and would like to unload one or two on a trade for a M94; therefore, a proprietor that takes good used handguns on trade would be a plus.
Thanks,
TMC

I might be interested in one of your 44 wheelies.
What barrel lengths in S+W do you have planned for sale?

I'm not sure about this, but I thought I read somewhere that there are Federal restrictions for the normal person (i.e. non FFL holder) for an out of state transaction that only lets you buy a long arm in the adjacent states to where you live. For example, I live in Ohio and I have bought a rifle in Kentucky and a shotgun in Pennsylvania before, but if I went to the next state away, I would have to get the gun sent back to a FFL holder in Ohio to pick it up.
If this is true, that would limit where you could buy your Trails End to either Arizona or Nevada without having to get it sent back to a FFL dealer in California. If you bought it anywhere else (e.g. New Mexico, etc.), then you'd still have to comply with California's legal requirements if you had it sent back to California.
If there are any forum members who have a FFL or know for sure if there actually are such Federal restrictions, it would be nice to know if this is true.

Tons of those on there...and very cheap price.
Get a local dealer that will take an FFL transfer and you will be set.
I've bought my last 5 guns on gunbroker.
