I am getting short on space at my home so I put this loading kit together. It has everything I need for my reloading needs. It has the Lee hand press and a host of other tools I reach for most. I even fit my RCBS 505 Scale in. I am taking my bench mounted Press down from our laundry room to make way for our canning goods needs. Some day I will have my own shop, but until then I will load from the kitchen table.

Neat little kit. My wife could only wish I'd be that organized. Yeah, I dream of having my own shop as well.

Great looking setup for someone with limited storage space. Very similar to one found in an article we did some time back:

Handloading Without Storage Space (http://www.beartoothbullets.com/tech_notes/archive_tech_notes.htm/8)

Thanks for the sharing your compact kit with us!

God bless,

I don't have a lot of space right now. In fact, my "bench" is a 3 ft X 2-1/2 ft butcher block table. This picture was taken just after I finished it last summer, and everything has since multiplied by about 3 times. My cartridge boxes, powder, and brass are all stored away from the bench now. And it hasn't looked that neat since I took that picture. No matter what, I always have something in progress on that "bench".

Before refinishing this table, I used my desk until I cracked it trying to resize 270 brass with the defective Lee Collet Die. Not good.

Nice read and pictures from all of you.
Imagine 100 plus years ago, sitting around a fire casting bullets with a keg of black in the wagon for reloading. They would have thought you guys were ammo factorys.

I've been thinking about one of those hand presses for a while now. All the folks that have them seem to really like them.

Nice little kit you've got there 30-30 Man.

Gave my RCBS RockChucker to my best friend. He needed a Press bad as his was rusting in his barn. My friend Steve had given me a nice Winchester 30-30 earlier this year and I wanted to give him something as a gift of friendship in return. I have been loading with the Lee hand Press on the Kitchen table. I made the portable reloading kit up and it works great. The only problem is finding a time slot without getting in the way of the rest of the family. Well, It's back to the small laundry room and the small bench. The canning goods will just have to go somewhere else.

I am getting it ready for a new Lee Challanger Press. That’s what happens when you have a kid in collage. I think the Challanger Press will work out just fine though. I still have the portable kit and will use it in conjunction with the Press in the back laundry room. I'll post pictures when it is put back together.

PS. My friend Steve liked the Press so much I gave him that he is going to take it out of the barn in the winter and store it in his house. His barn has to be the most cluttered barn on the face of Oregon

I have a similar setup - though not as organised as yours. I use the Lee handpress also. My "kit" all fits in a plastic box, somewhat like yours. I am so satisfied with my equipment as is, I doubt I will ever change to a bench press.

Great looking setup....great organization. Well done.

Hey amndouglas,

Where'd you get the butcher block countertop material?

Thanks in advance.

Hi All
I got the Lee Challenger Press the other day and set it up. I was use to the feel of my Rock Chucker but I am more then happy with the Challenger. It is not as solid feeling as the RC but it did just fine on my 308 cases. No complaints. I would have bought another RC but I just can’t spend the bucks at this time. I think that my new Lee Press will do just fine. Not bad for a 30.00 $ Press.
