Hi guys,
I was wondering how many of you take the powder completely out of the measures/scales you use after each reloading session. Based on one of my other posts, one should do this every time. Seems very time consuming.
thanks,

Always do.
In time, powder left in the hopper will glaze the innards and even start check-cracking the plastic.
Best to always dump and leave clean between reloading sessions. The Lee Perfect Powder Measure is cheap, but very good at repeatibility, plus you can twist the hopper to shut off the flow to the drum, then lift it off the body and reopen over the container mouth to dump back. Really simple.

I've got three on my bench, an RCBS a Lee perfect and a Redding. The Lee is the easiest to dump and I find it more accurate than the other two. End up using it 99 percent of the time.

I use the Lee and it is very easy to dump. I also like using the VMD of the powder with the cc measurement of the PPM to deliver very accurate loads.

I use a Redding, a Lee and an RCBS electronic and remove the powder every time.

I have an RCBS uniflow, and my bench is completely portable, so I have to remove the measure and store when I am done, it only makes sense to empty it and return the unused powder to its original container.

Does anyone here remember the Skeeter Skelton Shooting Times article "Skeeters Cow Killer Loads" ?
